One More Blog: Week of 2/11/2024

This week’s banner photo, submitted by bingboys in the gallery thread “a weekend of skiing”

Good morning and happy Sunday photography minded individuals! This week many of us have struggled with the Fornight Challenge, practiced for the Daido Royale, and been busy bees taking photos! As always, I am very excited to show off some of our best, so let’s jump in!

Gallery Gems

Posted by deathclamfive in the gallery thread “Garden of the Gods, CO”

Starting off this week with beautiful jagged peaks is exactly what I like. Gorgeous skies, the smattering of snow, all set dressing for an amazing part of this mountain range. Add in the small glimpse of the city in the distance, and you get a wonderful composition. Please check out more of deathclamfive’s work at his Instagram!

You can feel the adrenaline pumping, the lights blaring, and the impact about to happen. Ringside photography definitely isn’t easy, but the_abecedarian did a great job. This could be seen on the two page spread of a sports magazine! Please take a look at more of his work at his website below!

Posted by tominabox1 in the gallery thread “232 Galveston”

Something about this photo hits me in all the right places. It has such a delightful, wistful nature. The colors and tones are evocative of a warm early Spring. It screams about a longing for summer, when the beach and park will be filled with attendees. Please check out Tom’s Instagram and Etsy shop via his Linktree below.

Posted by sheorun in the gallery thread “Coney Island”

In contrast to Tom’s photo, sheorun manages to capture a more desolate feel, driving home that it is still, in fact, winter in the northern hemisphere. Seeing an empty Coney Island is strange, as I’m sure most people, myself included, have only seen it bustling with people. This place doesn’t seem to long for attendees, but it sadly awaits the day when they will return to shake its bones awake once more. Please check out more of sheorun’s excellent work at her Instagram below.

Posted by samgerers in the collaboration thread “The Daido Royale Part 2 – On Coolpix: Now and Never again.”

While we do not have any new collaborations this week, I wanted to shout out samgerers for posting a really cool take on the Daido Royale Part 2 collaboration! A very interesting use of camera shake while taking a beautiful landscaped shot makes the sky look like it is falling, and absolutely screams “are, bure, boke” to me. Please check out more of his work at his Instagram linked below.

I’d like to thank the One More Stop community for another lovely week of photography, and suggest once more that if you’re not a part of the community already to join at the link below! All levels and styles of photography are welcome and encouraged!

In my heart always,
Lunar Hades
