Hello photographers and artists!

Welcome to another weekly edition of One More Blog. As the Northern hemisphere plunges into Autumn, we’re seeing a lot more festive Fall photos of trees changing colors. Southern hemisphere folks should be heading into a beautiful Spring, and we expect to see some wonderful flowering photos as well!

We’d love to see your work in the Gallery as well! Feel free to post individual photos throughout the day to General or Photography channels, and share a collection of your current work to the Gallery in a posting. Even if it’s just one or two photos that you’d like to share for some feedback and interaction with the community, the Gallery is a great place for that.

The General and Photography channels are fast-moving and many of our members miss postings from those channels. To make sure your works get seen by the most members, create a Gallery post so your work is secured in a specific location for many viewers to see it!

All that said, enjoy this week’s selection from the Gallery!

Gallery Gems

Posted by Gary Indiana in the gallery thread “door county wisconsin

Gary Indiana shares a beautiful outing in the Autumn leaves in this Gallery Gem. Orange and red tones of the changing leaves and jacket blend with the greens of deciduous trees and the blues of the sky to make a very colorful palette.

Posted by Ylli in the gallery thread “a boatride in bruges

Ylli takes us on a boat ride through Bruges, Belgium. Some would call it a fairy tale town. Down on the water level we see the canals in all their medieval beauty reflecting the blue hue of the sky against the muted greys and browns of the stone buildings.

In this gallery post from neilmb, the colors and atmosphere of Autumn come through with changing colors in the trees, a picnic with bread, and live music on the grass. There’s always a good reason to bring a camera along to any outing.

Heading out for shots with the Barnack, tominabox1 grabs this powerful photo of a train bridge over water on Acros film. The leading angle adds a wonder of depth to the photo, showing the tracks heading off into the great unknown.

Emme shares a set of product photos in the Autumn foliage of her new photo book, “Where We Went Last Fall.” Using recommendations from the One More Stop collective, Emme produced her own book and is promoting the project on Kickstarter. Give it a look!

G1TDAT hit the square for a few street shots. This portrait of the mustachioed man in the hoodie stands out with his powerful stare directly into the lens, and thus, into our eyes as the viewers.

Holga vs. Diana

Posted by Lithe in the collaboration thread “Holga vs. Diana

Final submissions are coming in for the Holga vs. Diana challenge and Lithe is pulling out all the stops with this adaptation to large format and recreation of the moth from Silence of the Lambs. Check out the main chat for details on how Lithe accomplished this work.

That’s all for now. Please feel free to share your current works in the Gallery, and if you have any suggestions of new challenges or collaborations for the server, please share your ideas with the curator team and we can bring you on board as a curator to run the collaboration. We know you have some great ideas and we’re looking for those ideas currently. There are no bad ideas, and we can help you build a great project for the collective to compete in. Have another great week and keep making wonderful photos!

Namaste, and take care of yourself,
Owl Eye
