Happy Sunday photography friends, I am excited to be here to show off some of my favorite photos for the past week! The first week of April has been rainy and felt like it took an eternity to get through, but these photos helped me keep moving forward.

    Gallery Gems

A photo of a person taken through a window sitting in a cafe.
Posted by studio in the gallery thread “Testing out a new lab”

The warm tones and casual atmosphere remind me of the opening scroll of a classic movie, which makes me feel nostalgic and comfortable. Expired film absolutely has a special look every time, and I think this photo embodies those qualities, while also being framed exquisitely. Please check out more of studio’s work at the Instagram linked below.

A pixelated image of a church steeple.
Posted by Hot Pink Bulb in the gallery thread “Drowning in Night – Set 1”

While Hot Pink Bulb posted these as part of the 2-Bit Clubhouse collaboration, I think they did an amazing job with this photo outside of that context. It evokes retro horror games, in the best way possible. To imagine the things a talented photographer can do with a Gameboy Camera blows my mind. Please check out more of their work at the website linked below!

A black and white photo of the coast.
Posted by AON in the gallery thread “Malta – Tri X 400”

In addition to this photo being absolutely lovely, it just has me asking so many questions. Questions like “what is that obscured by the fog in the distance?” and “How much of that barrier has been eroded by nature?” and “Doesn’t this feel like the sort of place that a body would be found in a young adult mystery film?” Please check out more of AON‘s work at the Instagram linked below.

A desert road under a blue sky with clouds.
Posted by Eli 🐸 in the gallery thread “one of my favorites that I’ve taken (Nikon F2, Harman Phoenix 200 shot at 100)”

The most defining features in this photo are the amazing blues in the sky, and the incredible grain. This is Eli’s first post in the community and I certainly hope it isn’t the last! I’m so excited to see more work. As others have said, this feels like it should be on a postcard. Check out more of Eli’s work in the Instagram linked below.

    An abstract pixelated photo.
Posted by Devanopolis in the collaboration thread “2-Bit Clubhouse”

The 2-Bit Clubhouse is an incredible collaboration so far, and there have been wonderful and very thought out takes on every day objects or scenes with the Gameboy Camera. The lack of color depth allows the pixels to take on their own life, and it even looks like there’s a face in the wave. Please take a look at Devanopolis’s website below, and check out the 2-Bit Clubhouse collaboration on the Discord.

Moving out of this week and into the next I think I need to hope for two things in particular. The first being that “April showers bring May flowers” and the second being that this community continues being amazing, and continues posting incredible and unique work!

    With much love,
    Lunar Hades

Hello and welcome to April! For the Northern hemisphere photographers experiencing Spring, the trees are in bloom and the flowers are painting a canvas of colors upon the Earth. In the Southern hemisphere Fall brings the changing of the winds and reflections on the experiences we’ve encountered along our journey.

This week, I reflect on the beauty of the friends we have around us in nature, the plants that exist side-by-side with us, the wonder of life.

Wherever you sit on this spinning rock, you always have a friend nearby in nature.

  • One More Blog: Week of 3/2/2024

It’s that time of week, photographers! I am so excited to see the work and effort the community are putting into taking, developing, and sharing their photos. Please enjoy my selections, as this week they were so hard to choose.

    Gallery Gems

Posted by Dave M in the gallery thread “First Week March + trichromes + New”

To start, this impressive trichrome is simply fun to look at, and the effort that went into making it is clear. The trichrome adds this wonderful ghosting effect, and I genuinely love seeing the borders of the film as they are overlapped to create the full color image. Dave M did a great job showing exactly what sort of interest you can create with a process like this. Please check out Dave M’s website for more of their work!

Posted by sitfu in the gallery thread “Bali ’22”

With spring quickly approaching this photo from sitfu in Bali really shows what the future has in store for us. The door is ornate and is framed by the leaves and vines perfectly. Not to mention the colors being pleasing, with the white door standing out impressively. Please check out more of this album, and sitfu’s other work at his website below.

Posted by Pan in the gallery thread “Tenerife 2024”

Tenerife makes late winter look like summer in these photos by Pan, and I am excited about it. The water, the birds, and the relaxed posture really make me yearn for the beach, and I am hoping spring turns to summer as quickly as possible. The sky is lovely, and provides a great negative space to the rest of the photo. I encourage you to check out Pan’s Instagram for more work.

Posted by sheorun in the gallery thread “The Rainy Days of Summer”

sheorun’s photo absolutely screams rainy days, and I love it. A sunny summer is nice, but a rainy summer is divine. The effect the glass has on the light, and the softening it does to the leaves is fantastic and sets the mood. Please check out sheorun’s Instagram, she consistently puts out work that I just adore.

Posted by peat in the gallery thread “Headshot!”

Monochrome? Check. Great lighting? Check. Thoughtful posing? Check. In this photo hits every criteria I have for a great portrait, and I felt like it needed to be included despite not being posted in this exact time range. I am thankful to peat for letting us include this, and I would love if people went to check out his Instagram below.

Posted by Ben in the gallery thread “can share the first few photos from the film shoot”

Ben gives us an insightful look behind the scenes at the creation of a “regency period” short film, and I think the whole thread is excellent. The subject isolation on this photo looks great, and the grain is very pleasing. I am excited to check out this project, Until Today, when it releases. Please check out both Ben’s Instagram and Until Today’s Instagram below.

    Daido Royale Part 2

    Managed by Hot Pink Bulb

Rounding out our week with some excellent submissions for our Daido Royale Part 2, I just wanted to point out the exemplary photos I found in the gallery. When I choose photos I try not to look at who submitted until I have decided, and it just so happens that Ezo and HotPinkBulb’s photos caught my eyes the most. Ezo has lovely tones and a slightly ironic “fujicolor” sign in monochrome, and a wonderful sky. HotPinkBulb brings the essence of “are, bure, boke” in this photo of a bicyclist. Please check out their online presences below.

Week after week I am blown away by the work that gets posted in this community, and I am truly honored to write for this blog, and be a part of this community. To everyone who submits, thank you, and to everyone who reads along, thank you too.

See you again in a few weeks,
    Lunar

    Attention to Detail

Hello, friends! Owl Eye here this week with some major support from fellow blog writers Lunar Hades and Ezo. I’m currently en route to the True/False Film Festival in Columbia, MO. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

While reflecting on the past couple weeks I am awakened to the importance of detail and our attention paid to this. What we put into our world is repaid in kind, and as such with more attention to detail in our projects, our work, our studies come the repayment of rewards.

This week lets ponder the details around us and pay attention to what they hold for us and be guided by some fellow members of the collective and their beautiful attention to detail in this week’s gallery gems.

    Gallery Gems

“Peru Mornings on the River” — siftu

From gallery “Peru: Mornings on the river” by siftu.

Getting lost in a daydream with this collection from siftu. Morning mist, tranquil waters reflecting our subjects, and clouds lightly brushed in. Is this a painting or photo? Siftu brings us 41 images from a trip through Peru in 2019 and I encourage you to click through and view them all along with captions. This photo does not stand alone, but tells a greater story when viewed in the full catalog. Would love to have this set as a booklet.

    “Ominous” — orange7161

    From gallery “Ominous” by orange7161.

Not leaving to chance in hiding our sculpture in fog with this photo from orange7161, but rather to capture the delicate balance that splits visible and opaque in twain. Capturing at that crucial moment where both building, and humans, could be lost to the weather if we don’t focus our sights just right.

    “Chinatown, SF, Mendocino” — davesunday

From gallery “Chinatown, SF, Mendocino” by davesunday.

Just in time to capture this fish before it surfaces and snaps up the lighted lure, davesunday illustrates a wonderful way to compose for the highlight of a mood with this geometrical street snap in an urban night scene.

  • One More Blog: Week of 2/11/2024

Good morning and happy Sunday photography minded individuals! This week many of us have struggled with the Fornight Challenge, practiced for the Daido Royale, and been busy bees taking photos! As always, I am very excited to show off some of our best, so let’s jump in!

    Gallery Gems

Posted by deathclamfive in the gallery thread “Garden of the Gods, CO”

Starting off this week with beautiful jagged peaks is exactly what I like. Gorgeous skies, the smattering of snow, all set dressing for an amazing part of this mountain range. Add in the small glimpse of the city in the distance, and you get a wonderful composition. Please check out more of deathclamfive’s work at his Instagram!

Posted by the_abecedarian in the gallery thread “Muai Thai – single moments”

You can feel the adrenaline pumping, the lights blaring, and the impact about to happen. Ringside photography definitely isn’t easy, but the_abecedarian did a great job. This could be seen on the two page spread of a sports magazine! Please take a look at more of his work at his website below!

Posted by tominabox1 in the gallery thread “232 Galveston”

Something about this photo hits me in all the right places. It has such a delightful, wistful nature. The colors and tones are evocative of a warm early Spring. It screams about a longing for summer, when the beach and park will be filled with attendees. Please check out Tom’s Instagram and Etsy shop via his Linktree below.

Posted by sheorun in the gallery thread “Coney Island”

In contrast to Tom’s photo, sheorun manages to capture a more desolate feel, driving home that it is still, in fact, winter in the northern hemisphere. Seeing an empty Coney Island is strange, as I’m sure most people, myself included, have only seen it bustling with people. This place doesn’t seem to long for attendees, but it sadly awaits the day when they will return to shake its bones awake once more. Please check out more of sheorun’s excellent work at her Instagram below.

Posted by samgerers in the collaboration thread “The Daido Royale Part 2 – On Coolpix: Now and Never again.”

While we do not have any new collaborations this week, I wanted to shout out samgerers for posting a really cool take on the Daido Royale Part 2 collaboration! A very interesting use of camera shake while taking a beautiful landscaped shot makes the sky look like it is falling, and absolutely screams “are, bure, boke” to me. Please check out more of his work at his Instagram linked below.

I’d like to thank the One More Stop community for another lovely week of photography, and suggest once more that if you’re not a part of the community already to join at the link below! All levels and styles of photography are welcome and encouraged!

    Isolating Subjects

Hello beautiful photographers! Owl Eye here for your weekly wrap-up of wonderful happenings in the One More Stop collective. As I perused the #Gallery this week, a trend emerged to me: Isolating Subjects.

While we all take care to find wonderful places to photograph, we are also working on storytelling with powerful subjects in our frames. Subjects add life to our images and help the narrative being told. From human subjects to natural or architectural center points, a great subject adds power to our photography.

The idea of isolating subjects will come into play with the upcoming Daido Royale Part 2 collaboration. Find more information below in the Community Collaborations section.

This week’s #Gallery update is devoted to the strength of isolating subjects.

    Gallery Gems

The One More Stop gallery is a great place to showcase your work. A low-pressure channel allowing you to upload a set of photos to share with the community or ask for critiques and feedback.

From “Daido Practice in Sapporo” by Ezo

Ezo brings us an energetic stairwell photo with the subject in motion. As hinted to in the title, this image is in honor of the style of Daido Moriyama for the OMS Challenge: Daido Royale Part 2. Ezo captures the energy and movement of people going about their daily business by isolating the subject through long shutter speed motion blur.

    Check out Ezo at:

From “Get the London Look” by Hot Pink Bulb

Hot Pink Bulb treats us this week with the “London Look” while venturing into and deconstructing the Daido style as well. In this photo they have captured the essence of human subjects through silhouettes against a bright wall leading off into the distance. The intent of are-bure-boke is alive in this photo as the subjects are masked out of recognition and supplanted in with shadow.

Check out Hot Pink Bulb at:

From “First week of February – Mixed” by Mymmy

Mymmy isolates a single human and dog subject in the opening of the tunnel passage way on a dark alleyway at night. In the foreground we are told of our location in the city streets and the time of day. In the background we have our subject and dog not only framed in by the arched opening of the pathway but also silhouetted against the bright lights of the shops on the neighboring street. This photo tells the time and city location while also capturing the depth of multiple avenues, businesses and spaces.

    Check out Mymmy at:

From “Morning at the lakeside” by blue squares

The story is told as dawn breaks on a cold land. The sun is playing with the mist from the frozen ground. The subjects are isolated on the path both in physical space of being on the pavement together, but also in silhouette from the sun ahead of the them. We get a feel for the location, the open fields and hills, the trees watching over the pathway and signposts. All this scenery stands still as our subjects move through the world.

From “receipt of rain” by eeenmachine

Eeenmachine brings us a series of photos on receipt paper in this gallery “receipt of rain”. These lights are the focal point and subject of the photo. Minimal design of the lights, simple placement of them side by side, wonderful framing of the photo around these three lights, and great process of printing on a simple medium, receipt paper.

    Check out eeenmachine at:

From “proofs from today” by edison

Edison shows us that a subject does not have to be a standalone object or person with this photo of a textured wall. Sometimes a subject is the pattern of design. Isolated from the patterns of the single dark rectangles to the left and the right stands the three dark rectangles in the middle with surrounding white tiles. These three belong together in their set and Edison has captured that for us here.

    Check out edison at:

From “Stormy Days photos” by Big dogg

Occasionally our subject is an entire space isolated against the backdrop of the landscape. Big dogg has captured this essence in the photo of a pier from the gallery “Stormy Days photos”. The pier stands alone on top of the sea, in front of the sky. Further isolating it from the foreground and background with long shutter creating silky motion in the water and clouds. This motion stands in stark contrast to the stillness of the pier and separates it as a place of strength and perseverance.

    From “Olympia SM8” by devanopolis

As stated in the gallery, devanopolis didn’t stage this shot. No lights were brought in to paint the exposure. This is simply a still frame of a typewriter on a desk in their home, showing us the possibilities of our everyday environments. All the material things in our lives exist in their own world where they sit, and possible photos are always at the ready to capture them living their best lives just as any other human subject.

The Daido Royale Part 2 – On Coolpix Now and Never Again

    Managed by Hot Pink Bulb

Moriyama, Daido. Boy, Matsushima, Miyagi. 1974.

Daido Moriyama, Japanese street photographer, was an influential part of the punk movement in photography through the 1970s in Japan. Known for his are-bure-boke (rough, blurred, out-of-focus) black-and-white style, Daido showed that great emotional photography can be made with cheap point-and-shoot cameras and with settings that push well outside the bounds of what traditional photography claims to be proper. Grainy, blurry, spur-of-the-moment street style found Daido a winning style that we are excited to experiment with in this year’s Daido Royale Part 2.

This week’s banner photo, submitted by Shining_Ray in the gallery thread “A few pictures from my first two rolls of film”

Happy weekend, Lunar here again, excited to bring you some of the latest and greatest happenings in the One More Stop photography collective. There’s a lot of lovely work to show off, so with no further ado, let’s get into it.

    Gallery Gems

Posted by LDB in the gallery thread “Puffin”

This week LDB re-posted an iconic photo, one that I have a deep regard for, because he entered it into the London Camera Exchange’s Photographer of the Year contest! Personally I think this painterly photo of an adorable puffin has a strong chance at winning! But, in addition to the judge’s choice, there’s a people’s choice award! I’m not going to tell you to go vote, but I will leave a link at the bottom of this entry, and let you know you don’t even need to make an account to vote. Best wishes to LDB!

Posted by Sethie in the gallery thread “Snapped my friends goofing around on a ridge above me. [B&W]”

Using one of my favorite lens/body combinations, the Fujifilm X-H1 and the XF 56mm f/1.2 R, Sethie brings us a delightful silhouette. The image is balanced wonderfully, and the subject stands out perfectly. Give Sethie a follow at his Instagram below for some great photos and filmmaking!

Posted by Mymmy in the gallery thread “Streetlamps”

When I saw how the moonlight hit this statue, I knew I had to include this photo in the blog! Framed beautifully, the statue would be interesting on its own. But the glow of the moon hitting it brings it to another level. Mymmy says this is a worn out trope, but if it is he’s excecuting it well. Please encourage his photography journey at the link to his Instagram below.

Posted by blue squares in the gallery thread “blue squares week of 1/22/24”

People tend to depict dirty areas with a muted palette, but blue squares left the colors bright. A toxic orange, bright yellow warning label, and dirty red barrel have a strong impression immediately. The barrel giving instructions on how to stay clean, while looking very dirty is hilarious. Please check out more of blue squares’ work, he now posts a gallery weekly showing off what he’s been working on.

Posted by eeenmachine in the gallery thread “Rainy Coastal”

With such a thin depth of field, these leaves with raindrops feel a little surreal. It also feels true to life, as if you were trying to focus on something so small with your own eyes up close. Not to mention the lovely crop, and the contrast. eeenmachine has been pumping out some great work on many different camera formats, from instant, to micro four thirds, to medium format! Please take a look at his Mastodon for more!

Posted by Ezo in the collaboration thread “Everyday Carry 2024”

Continuing last year’s popular collaboration, Aidan is running the Everyday Carry challenge for 2024! This simply entails bringing your camera with you every day, and taking a photo of it in the wild. At the end of the year, Aidan will be making a slideshow containing all of the entries, and hopefully this will encourage everyone to go out and shoot ever day, so it will be a lot of entries. Check it out in the collaboration thread “Everyday Carry 2024”

    Mirror Selfie Thread 2024

    Managed by Hot Pink Bulb

Posted by Ben in the gallery thread “Post a Mirror Selfie photo thread.”

Not a new thread for 2024, but Hot Pink Bulb is also continuing their Mirror Selfie thread, encouraging everyone to take selfies with their cameras in mirrors, particularly convex or fisheye mirrors, or anything else interesting you run into! Take a look at the gallery thread “Post a Mirror Selfie photo thread.” and contribute if you think the concept is fun. People are getting very creative with it, and there’s a whole year’s worth of good photos to look through from 2023 too.

    Thermal Printing Shenanigans

    Managed by Ben

Posted by Ben in the project thread “thermal printer gallery”

As a fun project that anyone can contribute to right now, user Ben has set up a thermal printer with a web queue, so anyone can print their photos out directly to his thermal printer. This has been fun to watch so far! Please go ahead to the link below and print your favorite photos, but please try to limit this to your own work, and keep it SFW at that. If you want to see your printed photos, head onto the server and check out his project thread! Much love to Ben for this fun project!

It has been a very fun week, and I am so excited to see what comes of next week. Not directly highlighted in this post are the Vacation Fortnight theme, ran by blue squares and deathclamfive as well as the continuation of Liquid 2024, and Club f/64 ran by Rob. Thank you to all our members who share their work and to the members who show their love in the comments with critiques and support. Our community grows stronger because of you all. Thank you!

    Fabri

From Gallery: “some shots from a quick Dubai work trip”

In this set from Dubai, Fabri brings us images captured on Portra 400 and Fuji 400/200. Aside from the beautiful rendering of color of this stock, Fabri captures unique compositions such as this shot of a van in a vehicle garage. Three views captured in one shot.

    Neutrinissimo

From Gallery: “A few rare digital images (from yesterday)”

Neutrinissimo took advantage of some cold, snowy conditions to bring us this set of gorgeous photos including this little, red house in the trees. Capturing my eye here is gorgeous use of only three colors, a wonder color-theory trick.

    Sethie

From Gallery: “Foggy morning here on a New Zealand rural lifestyle block.”

Captured on Fujifilm X-H1, Sethie brings us a truly wonderful set of photos showing that an artist can find color in the greyest of scenes. The beautiful use of simple foreground color on foggy grey background adds to the impact of these soft shots.

    Peter

From Gallery: “Snow + flash vol2

Continuing a series of snow shots, Peter hit upon a wonderful set with this gallery. Using a unique combination of what appears to be quick shutter, shallow depth, and flash, Peter captures remarkable large, white bokeh ball snow flakes. Complimenting these are a subtle touch of color on the black night. Remarkable renderings here.

    blue squares

From Gallery: “50mm, 6 miles, and 7 blisters”

Our resident busy-body, Blue Squares, got around town with a new 50mm (and paid the price in blisters) to bring us some truly impactful street shots. While we’re highlighting only the wonderful street car shot here, we encourage you to also take note of the architectural shots that Blue has been working on in their gallery. As one member mentions, reminiscent of Hélèn Binet.

    Pebble

    From Gallery: “cyber-pictorialism portraits”

Pebble continues their experimentations with “cyber pictorialism” in this seductive set. A custom process involving several mediums from film to video synth to digital. A truly beautiful, yet hauntingly cyber-punk vibe that continues to impress. We look forward to where this style takes Pebble in the future.

    eeenmacine

From Gallery: “Hip to be square”

This week eeenmachine brings us more of the soft, ethereal street shots that they’re becoming famous for. Beautifully composed, minimal, soft, timeless. There is a dreamy-remembrance vibe to eeenmachine’s street work that combines a wonderful balance of street, architecture, geometry and story-telling that always catches the eye.

    Emre T.

    From Gallery: “Exhibit Visiting [13.01]”

And finally, we wish to give a shout out to Emre T. for their gallery visit to see works of Turkish sculptor, Y. Bahair Yildiz (website: found here.)

As a personal note, much of my inspiration in photography comes from absorbing myself into the art of others, from music and painting, to visiting exhibits and museums. It is a pleasure to see Emre T. utilizing their artistic talent of photography to capture the work of other artists. Not only does this help spark the flame of creativity in the photographer to see other artists’ expressions, but it captures the artwork that existed in this space for this time.

I encourage all our members to venture out and see more shows, tour more museums and help support local and global artists by visiting their shows and photographing their work. Thank you for your contributions, Emre.

    Final Notes

Thank you to our artist-members for their contributions to our Gallery. You all help us grow each week by sharing and commenting on member galleries. Each week we pick some favorites from the gallery for sharing to the collective, so if you’d like to showcase your work and possibly be chosen for display in the Blog, make sure to keep posting in the Gallery.

Final note, please keep up to date on the Announcement channel for updates on new challenges and collabs with the community.

Enjoy the remainder of January. My name is Owl Eye. On behalf of myself and the rest of the OMS Blog editors, Ezo and Lunar, we wish you the best in your photographic journey. We will be back next week with another update from One More Stop!

  • One More Blog: Weeks of 12/24/23 and 12/31/23

A black and white photo of a street corner, with Christmas lights and people walking about.
This week’s banner photo, submitted by Hot Pink Bulb in the thread “Ode to 2023”

Welcome to the first weekly blog post for the One More Stop photography collective!  Lunar here, I am excited to take a chance to highlight and discuss the great things our community has been up to this past week, as well as wrapping up the final week of 2023! Due to this post being a double, it will be a bit longer than most weeks, strap in!

Before we get started with the community happenings, I’d like to talk a little about who I am, and shout out the other lovely photographers who will be working on this blog.

If you don’t know me, I am Lunar Hades, and I am one of the Trustees of the One More Stop collective. I shoot primarily digitally, and I have a great appreciation for all kinds of photography. I hope to highlight work that is diverse and inclusive, which is one of the main ideals we strive for!

Also working on this blog are Ezo and OwlEye, who will introduce themselves more in their blog posts.

With all of that out of the way, let’s head into the final week of 2023, and the first week of 2024!

    Gallery Gems

A distorted portrait of a woman, with lines and odd coloring.
Posted by pebble in the gallery thread “video synth portraits”

In one of the most striking and unique portraits I’ve ever seen pebble delivers an image I’ll never forget, and neither should you. This process involves viewing distorted videos on a Sony Trinitron television, and then taking stills from them on film, in this case Kodak Vision 3. Please check out pebble‘s instagram for more of his cyberpunk-style photography, taken in a really interesting way!

A photo of people ice skating, with Chicago in fog behind them.
Posted by Gary Indiana in the gallery thread “Chicago”

There’s a lot to love about this photo! Not only am I a sucker for monochrome, but the framing and balance provide an image with a lot to see that isn’t too cluttered. You really feel the winter, and end of the year excitement. The city in fog makes it an even more delightful scene, providing interest without drawing your attention away from the ice skating crowd. You can find more of Gary Indiana‘s work on his Instagram.

An almost monochrome train at night, pleasantly blurred by speed.
Posted by OwlEye in the gallery thread “More night trains”

I love the mood that the lighting and colors bring to this image, and I like the sense of speed you feel while looking at it.  Just enough of the train is in focus so that you can see it in detail, while the blurred parts of the image create a nice almost negative space. OwlEye is a wonderful contributor, and you should check out his website for more!

Posted by Fabri in the gallery thread “Fondazione Prada, Milan”

The grim juxtaposition of an ammunition vending machine next to a candy vending machine is striking. The colors are bleak but represented perfectly. You can see the level of detail and quality you get out of Kodak Portra 800, and the Hasselblad isn’t hurting either. Overall a very interesting and thought provoking piece. You can find more of Fabri’s work on his Instagram.

Posted by Heinz in the gallery thread “Long exposure Fireworks (happy new year!)”

Heinz rings in the new year with a delightful long exposure of his local fireworks, and with such a sharp and well framed photo of fireworks, you can forget that they usually have color! I love all of the little details you can see in the exposure. Aside from continuing to pile on the praise, there’s little to say about this photo, I just find it breathtaking. For me this feels like a wonderful “goodbye” to 2023. Please take a look at Heinz’s website!

    Community Collaborations

    Instant Ecstasy

    Managed by Sheorun

Posted by Hot Pink Bulb in the collaboration thread “Instant Ecstasy”

Instant Ecstasy is an effort to push members to take photos on instant film cameras (polarioid, instax, etc) and share them with the group in the collaboration thread.  An instant photo exchange was also managed through this collaboration.

The collaboration is over now, but the thread is still active for sharing and discussing instant photography. Thank you Sheorun for managing all of this!  I’d also like to highlight a shot by Hot Pink Bulb, using a Polaroid Big Shot. Please check out both of their internet presences!

    Club f/64

    Managed by Rob

Our other collaboration that is running beyond the year’s end is Club f/64, which promotes shooting photos that are large format, that are metered well, sharp, with a wide open aperture.  This is meant to be an homage to the Group f/64, a group that had prolific members such as Ansel Adams and Edward Weston.  This collaboration is currently ongoing, with time to shoot and post from now until the 3rd of February 2024. A zine could even be made at the end, depending on interest! Hop in if you dare, and/or love Large Format photography. Thank you Rob for heading this collaboration!

    The Liquid Challenge 2024

    Managed by Hot Pink Bulb

The Liquid Challenge is a way to force the use of, and creativity with, cameras one already owns; and it intends for this to be done across a variety of camera/film formats. This year’s version comes with two small game boards, to help keep track of the rules you’ve set for yourself.

The rules are simple: Fill out these cards and lock in your choices by the end of January, and then commit to them for the rest of 2024. No new gear (aside from the use of Get out of Jail Free cards). You also have to do your best to post the work you’re shooting on these cameras every 3 weeks.

Do you have too many cameras and want to try to limit your purchase of new ones? Do you want to find a creative spark through limitation in 2024? If yes to the above, come check out the Liquid Challenge for 2024!

This has been a wonderful year, and a great start to a new one! I am truly excited to move into the new year!  I can’t wait to see what 2024 continues to offer us! If you’re not already part of the collective, please click here or the button below for a link to our Discord server, where all of this is happening in real time!

    With much enthusiasm and hope,
    Lunar Hades

  • Welcome to our blog

One More Stop is an international photography collective, with members in every continent of the world.

During Covid and the many lockdowns a lot of us were all separated from various creative places, and One More Stop filled that space. Starting off as an abandoned online element of a re-share instagram account. It soon found its own place and identity and became One More Stop.

Being stuck at home, but with people all over the world to share experiences with kept the creative juices flowing.

We have since run several print exchanges, a few secret Santas and our famed Daido Royale Challenge. We also run a creative course aimed at getting peoples focus back onto photography and away from endlessly talking about and buying cameras, the infamous Liquid Challenge.

This blog will be used to share some of what the collective does day to day.
